Create miracles easily with energywork

In our today’s world of relentless external stimuli such as social media, TV, news, meetings, responsibilities and global challenges our attention is constantly being pulled outside of ourselves. By default, there is very little space to have your attention to yourself.

In addition, someone who does not seem to be engaging with the worldly dramas may be perceived as isolated or selfish. The lie we have been entertaining here is that when we want to create change in the world, we have to go ‘out there’ to do it. This is, of course, a faulty approach. We can’t truly help others without doing our own inner work first.

There are many different ways to work on yourself from within and one of them is energywork. Some of the tools in your energywork toolbox are: attention, intention and visualisation. Energywork has a holistic approach to life. Namely, when I work on me, then the world around me will reorder to the changes I have made in me. I will attract to myself that which I am.

When I clear my own pictures, patterns, old belief systems, then the outside world immediately begins to match to that. Events, situations, relationships and everything will reorder to reflect where I’ve set the energy for myself and my mock-ups.

Practising daily energywork meditation increases your overall levels of awareness.

The foundation of energywork is the concept of ownership – what I see around me reflects something in me. In fact, the whole Universe exists within me, I’m not just a part of it – I am an expression of the Universe. It is all intricately connected. Seeing and integrating these truths into your daily life, you can begin to create change in the world by simply changing something in yourself, not waiting for the world to change around you.

In the old paradigm it made a whole lot of sense to go out there and deal with the issue externally. However, this approach did not integrate the truth that ‘out there’ is also ‘in here’. It was incomplete, lacking wholeness and completely disregarded the internal processes that created the situation to begin with. In the new paradigm, you don’t have to go out there and ‘save the world’ or ‘save the planet’. The world and the planet don’t need saving. They are doing just fine – it is you who needs saving.

The underlying truth is that we attract to ourselves and are drawn to people and situations that we have spiritual agreements with or where we have unfinished karma. These situations will keep on repeating themselves like a broken record until you start to pay attention, notice the pattern and clear it using your energywork tools. Indeed, it is that easy to let go of old patterns.

If you are spending a lot of time and energy trying to change and fix others, only ever noticing the faults and shortcomings of others, then that is energy completely wasted. So don’t be surprised if you often feel completely exhausted and burned out after dealing with people. The only place where you really have a say and control is in your own space. The only one you can really change and work on is you. You can of course inspire others to change, but you cannot do their inner work for them.

Psychic meditation helps you to connect with your own truth

At times things can get a little heated and you may feel pressure from others to conform, fit into a mould, do as you’re told … How do you manage that kind of energy? Have you tried meditating yet?

When you sit down to meditate, you are entering a stress free zone that is entirely your own. You are your own boss in this space and no one gets to dictate anything to you here. Using visualisation tools you can also safely release any weighty or stressful energy that you may have picked up from others.

The time spent sitting in communication with your body, your Essence, your own answers and Source is time spent very wisely indeed. Namely, the more often you do this, the easier it becomes to get into a centered and meditative state at all times, including during times of duress. Meditation is indeed an invaluable tool to help you to quickly move through any unpleasant situations with all of your integrity intact.

The great thing about receiving intuitive guidance in your meditation space is that it comes from your own truth and does not have to be proved, explained or defended to anyone. You have full permission to clear any energy that says otherwise! Imagine living your life free from competition and from having to make sense to anyone – how fun and liberating!

Very often the Universe gives us lessons that require us to let go of having to ‘know’ where we’re heading, to let go of struggling and to simply trust. In those times the communication you may be receiving from Source may not make a whole lot of sense to your analytical mind. Indeed, if you were to keep on insisting that the communication fit into a specific mould, an expectation, then the result is that you will miss the true underlying message. It might not be what you expected, but is quite likely something even better! Trust in the infinite compassion of Source to know the most healing and loving solutions for everyone involved.

What may help you to quickly get into a space of clear communication with the God-of-Your-Heart and Source are the psychic tools. I’m not talking about external tools here such as oracle cards, a pendulum or a magic wand, but rather visualisation tools such as grounding, running energy and the rose image. These tools work entirely on visualisation and intention and can help you to access your own answers much more easily and effortlessly than otherwise. There are of course many other different and entirely valid ways to receive information, such as through feelings, sensations, just knowing, as a hunch or an instinct, but the truth is that visual images are the most accurate and the least biased.

Using your tools you will be easily able to release expectations and judgements from your space and receive clear communication from spirit for what it actually is.

Growing gracefully

It is by default that when we bump into growth, we tend to try to solve our problems from the outside. We can go into effort, trying really hard to make something work. We might even struggle for power, fight and push against what we believe to be an issue.

Time and again, we find that such an approach isn’t working, because we are trying to deal with the symptoms rather than the core of the issue. A change of perspective is needed here. Namely, something needs to change inside of us.

It does no one any good to ‘resist’ or ‘fight’ against what we do not agree with. By resisting or fighting something, we are in fact strengthening it. It is only by changing our own perspectives and changing our own energy, from within, that an outer change can happen. It is a timeless truth that when you change your energy from within, the outer world will readily match to it.

Looking within, however, requires some willingness, because we might not necessarily like what we see and that can mean having to make changes. It seems that most people prefer to avoid this. And underlying this is a resistance to change. Why change anything when everything is ‘just fine and dandy’ already, right?

The great news is that whatever you see about yourself is energy and energy can be changed simply by looking at it. You don’t have to travel to a far-away country and meet a guru in order to transform yourself. It is a well-known quantum physics fact that when you start to look at particles very closely, they start to reorder themselves. It’s known as the observer effect. Similarly, we have psychic tools and can clear our energy fields. Looking within, however uncomfortable at times, is actually the only way to move forward consciously. Besides, the more you ‘look’, the easier it gets since your looking muscle grows stronger.

Whatever you see in your space, you can validate it and then release it if you don’t like it. It’s that simple. Meditating and using your psychic tools makes life effortless.

The true meaning of being on a ‘spiritual path’ means taking responsibility for the kind of energy you are running through your space and the kind of energy you are putting out there into the world around you. This is the path of consciousness: you are aware of your connection with all things around you and you choose to be responsible for your part in it. It’s kind of like putting your trash in a bin rather than littering all over the place. Some good ways to do your part would be to grow your own organic food, recycle, use eco-friendly products and save energy.

Taking responsibility for your own space means also acknowledging that what you see in those around you is simply mirroring yourself in one way or another. If you notice yourself going into judgement about what you see in another, it’s good to also take a look at what has lit up in you while you are looking at the other.

Moving through life and growing spiritually doesn’t have to be a struggle. With conscious practices such as meditation and using your psychic tools it can be beautiful, effortless and joyful. Even through the more difficult times. Add to this regularly saying hello to your spirit and your life will be nothing short of miraculous!

Your values create safety for you

In our everyday lives we deal with constant change and unpredictability and if we are not grounded into our own solid set of values, it can be easy to get thrown about by everyone else’s agendas.

One surefire way to tell that you may be participating in something that is not for your highest good is a sense of anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere. Your body is always communicating with you and anxiety is its way of telling you that somewhere along the line something is out of integrity. Typically there may be a situation where you need to speak up, be heard and make some changes. Whatever it may be, it is in your best interests to trust your body’s truthful guidance and wisdom.

Of course, as a sensitive and empathic being, you may also be matching to someone else’s emotional landscape. You may very well be taking on the troubles and pain of everyone else and unwittingly being the container for others to process their stuff. However, it is crucial to realise that the only person whose pain you can ever really heal and take ownership of is your own.

You can only gently guide others to the wellspring of their inner wisdom, but you can not make them drink.

The healing step here is to always seek to release what is not yours and always come back home to yourself. It might help to take a look at why you may be matching to others and see if you can perhaps get grounded within yourself instead.

A well known practice for many new intuitives, and especially for many in the New Age community, is that of ‘shielding’ or ‘protecting’ oneself with a bubble or any other similar intention. The idea behind this is to ‘keep out’ other people’s stuff. And underlying this idea is the fear that others can somehow intrude upon our spaces, that we are somehow victims to their energy. Quite frankly, the truth about this technique is that it is isolating. It is not at all necessary to use ‘shielding’ when we are in touch with who we really are. The healing step here is again to bring your awareness back to yourself and see what is being triggered in you to want to protect yourself. Maybe you are feeling vulnerable?

The only protection as such that you’ll ever need is to have a solid inner core of boundaries and clarity about who you are and who you are not. You can always lean on this inner core when the times are difficult somehow.

Instead of ‘shielding’ I would recommend using grounding instead. You can use your connection with the Earth below your feet to release what is not yours and to connect with the truths in your heart. Grounding is a cornerstone of the ‘Basic intuitive skills’ class and all of the intuitive practices at the Hello EssenceJoy Healing Centre.

The beautiful thing here is that the Universe supports you when you are operating from your truest, most authentic self. Being true to yourself may seem like a difficult task in a world where we are daily required to wear masks and repress ourselves by those that can’t handle the truth. You may even feel overwhelmed by this idea, but remember this: you are only ever given as much as you can handle. When you take healing steps for you, you are also supporting, teaching and healing many, many more individuals than you may even have a conscious awareness of. Indeed, you don’t have to write a book, teach a seminar or even utter a single word. Simply vibrating from your own truest self is the greatest healing and a teaching to all.

Being in your vertical flow

When pain comes up for us we immediately seek to lean on others for safety and security. The instinctive reaction to pain is to seek for nourishment, healing and reassurance outside of ourselves.

There is a lie in here that says that we can’t handle our pain. And underneath that lie is the fear that our pain could kill us. Pain is actually a good friend who has useful information to share to us about our lives. If we keep ignoring it – it will never go away.

From an early age we learn from those around us to connect with one another in a horizontal way. We cord into our mothers via the umbilical cord at first and later via an energetic cord. We go through life constantly cording into everyone: our partners, family members, friends, colleagues, clients … even acquaintances …

Cording is nothing unusual and actually comes by default. We send energetic cords into others for safety and security. We cord because we have lost the capacity to connect with the abundant resource of energy within us. The main negative side to cording is that it depletes the energy of the one being corded into. It is actually quite dis-empowering to allow cording.

There is a more optimal, more truthful and empowered way, namely: running your own vertical energy. It begins with you grounding into the planet below your feet instead of into those around you. Then, when you release all the energy from your space that is not yours, you replenish yourself by circulating your Earth and Cosmic energies. Indeed, your own vertical energy flows are all the healing and nourishment that you really need.

All the nourishment you’ll ever need comes from the Earth below your feet and the golden sun above your head, your essence. Call this your vertical flow. Now, occasionally you fall out of this flow – that’s when you are ready for a hello. Are you ready for one now? Check if you are in your centre!

Once you become conscious of your own energy and the various energy flows running through your energy channels on a daily basis it becomes easier to begin to direct those flows. Rather than giving all your energy away and becoming depleted through cording you can remove those cords and connect with an infinite resource of energy within you instead. With your vertical energy flowing you become self-sufficient.

Being free of cords allows you to have more space for you just to be you and to create from your own truth. What an easy and joyful way of being that is!

The psychic child within

Many of the stern adults of today were once sensitive and psychic children. All children are intuitive and own their gifts with ease. However, as they grow older, they may not have permission to use their abilities and as a result lose touch with them.

Let’s be very clear: there is absolutely nothing woo-woo about being intuitive. The idea that it is something mystical or magical in a negative way comes from fears and limited thinking that have been conditioned upon us over the ages. It is an entirely natural ability that comes with being human. No extra effort required.

Put it this way, if you have a soul, then you are psychic. Simple as that. Using your ability means getting in touch with that part of yourself we call ‘the soul’ or whatever else you want to call it. It is of course much more complex than just ‘a soul’, but to simplify we can say it is that part of you that is connected with the source of all answers and is all you need for your healing and well-being.

The easiest and quickest way to access your intuition is primarily through imagination. You can also connect through sensations, feelings, sounds or knowingness, but imagination is the way that is most fun and natural. You may not think you are very imaginative, but if you can envision the simple image of an apple, then you already have what it takes to receive communication from your spirit. Now the task becomes to quiet the noise within and around you down enough so as to be able to hear the often subtle voice of your soul.

Daydreaming is a very fun and joyful way through which children access their own answers. They do this very naturally and without making a fuss about it. Children have not yet been heavily conditioned by those around them, so they allow their imagination and their spirits to wander and play around without restrictions. It is the fundamental curiosity and sense of wonder that drives them to ask the questions and receive the answers. Children are walking and talking geniuses and there is much we could learn from them.

Many of the adults today live their lives carrying around with them the fears, conditioning and the lies handed to them from their parents, authorities or other adults around them. These lies and responsibilities, that they accepted without any questioning, clothed them in an imaginary cloak of security, which was supposed to grant them success in life and keep them safe, but in reality has done nothing else than block them from seeing themselves and those around them clearly. The core lie here is that they cannot access their own answers and couldn’t possibly be psychic. The abilities are there, however, the only question remains: to which extent does any given person choose to use their abilities? Some people passionately pursue their intuitive capacity, while others may want to run from it and turn it off completely.

The basic intuitive skills class is the psychic kindergarten where your inner child gets a hello and you get the chance to slowly begin to nurture and turn own your natural abilities again. You get to be the child again and grow, play and have fun in a safe and supportive learning environment.

Grounding helps to make you real

As an intuitive energy reader and a healer I always work from a grounded space. Before I learned to ground myself I felt that something was missing. It was hard for me to be myself around others, to assert myself and to have my own space.

You ground yourself and all of your own information by connecting the base of your spine to the centre of the planet. Your own information is your spirit, your unique energy, and grounding is what helps to bring all of you back into your body. Without grounding you’d simply be floating around somewhere. A phrase comes to mind here for lack of grounding: “the lights are on, but no one’s home.”

Indeed, it was when I began practising grounding that I was finally able to lower my vibration enough to start taking real action steps towards my dreams, goals and life purpose. Without grounding it was nice to float around and explore the ethers, but it was also very hard to realise myself in the right here and now. So, when I was done with exploring and ready to get real, the Universe sent me teachers who taught me how to ground myself.

Giving myself a grounding cord in my early twenties was one of the most beautiful healing gifts I could have ever given to myself. I never felt more fulfilled until I started grounding myself and things only got better and better from there on. Grounding allowed me to release any old and excess pain energy that I’d been carrying around for everyone around me and I finally discovered who I was underneath all of that old energy. I discovered I could actually have my own space for myself. Knowing myself and getting clear on who I was, I was finally also able to become more assertive and self-assured.

Grounding allowed me to take back my space and to become more assertive.

Besides grounding myself I also began grounding everything else: my home, my town, my computer, my food, my dreams and much more. Doing so created many healings. Giving my dreams a grounding cord allowed for the vibration of the dream to manifest in the here and now much faster than it would have done without grounding. I also began healing stressful situations very quickly by grounding them.

On my recent trip to India I was on a flight from Trivandrum to Delhi and sat next to a traditional healer from a Southern Indian state. We spoke about many things and I introduced the grounding technique to him. He expressed his belief that grounding yourself you could become too materialistic and out of touch with your heart. This seems to be the prevailing belief out there and is actually not true since when you ground yourself you simply ground your own information. With grounding you can realise who you already are. And from that space of being real many wonderful healings and miracles happen. By grounding yourself you take full ownership of who you are and are then able to learn and grow much much more than you would be if you were aimlessly floating around in the ethers.

Grounding is what validates who you are as a spiritual being and helps to make you real here in the physical body.

Another thing this Indian healer and many old school practitioners share in common is that they often use a lot of external tools such as feathers, crystals, oracle cards, pendulums, oils, candles, incense and what not. At the Hello EssenceJoy Healing Centre we do not use external tools. Instead, we work from a centered and meditative space and only practice visual tools. We validate our own truth. Grounding and self-validation are essential to the intuitive path, because they allow you to feel safe enough in your body to have your abilities on turned on. With your abilities safely turned on you no longer need external tools since you have what you need already available to you within you.

Where are you heading?

Who wrote the script to your life? Are you the one consciously choosing how to live your life and where you are heading by consciously changing the script every day or are you following someone else’s story? Are you consciously choosing where you want to go next or are you running on autopilot?

We are all run by the stories we tell ourselves, the pictures we carry around in our spaces and the programming we have accepted as our truth. Those may be happy and heroic stories or stories of sadness and victimhood. A happy story lives in the present moment while the victim story wants to predict future. If a story doesn’t feel good and doesn’t lead to joy, then it may be time to let go of that story. You have that freedom.

Often when pain comes up, people want a fortune-teller to make predictions about their future and have a guru hand them a clearly defined map for what comes next. The thing is, however, that the future is not predetermined. There is no set destiny that dictates where you are supposed to be heading and what you should be doing. There is no ‘should’ or ‘have to’ – those are simply limitations that come from expectations and demands from others.

You as a spiritual being chose to lower your vibration and to incarnate into this body in this particular time-frame in order to experience certain things here on the physical plane. You have a goal and a purpose for the lifetime. However, there is no set way in which to reach this goal – you get to choose how you want to play. You have an energy that is entirely unique only to you and only you can choose how you want to experience being in a body. Your body is your mock-up and only you have the power to choose where you want to go with it.

We ourselves get to choose what is around the corner for us. We can’t choose for others, but we can choose for ourselves.

Generally, what sets the tone for where you are heading is the energy in your space. It’s the choices you are making right now, the programming from others that you have accepted as truth, the images you visualize daily, the thoughts you think and the words you speak right now. It all really depends on what you bring your attention to, focus on and breath life into and that can all be changed through energywork, meditation and visualization.

The only way to begin to heal the stories that you tell is to step into full ownership of where you are right now. Only from this space of spiritual accountability can you truly begin to see and own what is yours and release what is not yours.

The daily gratitude list

When times are uncertain and change happens rapidly both within and around us we need something real to lean into. The physical body needs some kind of regular reassurance otherwise it can manifest imbalance.

Your spiritual body is a high energy and vibrates very fast and your physical body has a much lower vibration. Spirit is itself an inexhaustible source of energy, which allows it to keep going without needing to rest. The physical body however, which is an elemental, needs rest to recover from excess activity.

Being very firmly focused on your mock-ups, the future and all that is yet to be achieved, your energy can become projected far out into the future and therefore out of body. Too much growth and forward movement without regularly slowing down and stopping to smell the roses and appreciating how far you’ve come can throw you out of balance. What we want to create are the spirit’s domain, but we must also consider the needs of the body – that is the only way to wholeness. No part of us can be left out.

A healing happens when you ground yourself and come back into present time where the body is. Your physical body is always in present time. You can ground in many ways including eating, exercising, touching something, lying down or you can just as easily ground with visualization, a tool that I have talked about a lot in this blog. In addition to visually grounding, counting your blessings is another way to quickly ground and to bring yourself back into present time. From that space of appreciation your body naturally relaxes and thus heals itself.

Some of the things that are reassuring for the body are: nature walks, herbal tea, organic food, slow and mindful movements, gardening, rest, playtime, a warming cup of hot cocoa and much more.

The green grass, the tall trees, the birds, the moss, the soft breeze and the silent, fragrant symphony of the mid-summer’s woods have stories to tell. Listen.

Gratitude is a safety net that we can lean into when times are somehow difficult. Choosing to be grateful brings peace and quietude to the heart and calms worries. Feeling gratitude is like that moment when you let out a big sigh of relief and suddenly realize how blessed you are. You breath easy when you are grateful. The good things never went away – just your awareness of them did.

Being grateful for the simple everyday things that we usually take for granted reminds the body that its needs are always met no matter how wild life can get sometimes. Gratitude nourishes you and allows you to put everything in perspective. It is grounding for the body since it gives it something tangible to support it.

The truth is there is always plenty to be grateful for, but sometimes we forget. Remembering to be grateful we can take some time and nourish the body. So please join me in counting at least 10 things to be grateful for every day.

Here are my daily 10 for today:

  1. It’s a beautiful green and abundantly fragrant summer.
  2. There is plenty of sunshine.
  3. I have a beautiful big garden that I can work in.
  4. I hear lots of birdsong while I sit here writing this blog.
  5. I have plenty of raw organic cacao to make hot chocolate.
  6. I have a beautiful home.
  7. I have healthy organic food that comes straight from my garden.
  8. I experienced serenity earlier while picking berries in the woods.
  9. I have food on the table.
  10. I have a wonderful, supportive family.

Healing from the inside out

When you comes across pain in others either on a global scale or on a personal level, you get lit up. It is perfectly natural and it is an opportunity for you to learn something new about yourself.

The immediate knee-jerk response tends to be to want to heal, help and give advice or otherwise influence the event that you have absolutely no control over. When you are in that ‘knee-jerk response’ space you can be sure that you are matching to the drama you witnessed. Other people’s pain is very real and you need tools and awareness to sort out what belongs to you and what doesn’t.

The thing is, if you really want to help ‘heal the world’, please be aware that ‘the world’ is you. Your perceptions of the outside world and what you experience as upsetting events outside of you are reflective of something going on within you. The outer world is a mirror of the inner you. Begin healing the world by healing yourself first.

The keyword here is ‘control’. As a spiritual being in a physical body, you only ever really get to have control over your own thoughts, emotions, reactions, behaviour and energy. In other words, you only have control over your own space. You can inspire change and healing in others, but that cannot be achieved through fighting or resisting others and what they are putting out there. You only create change by being the change you want to see.

The first real step towards healing is to create space to take a good close look at what comes up for you. Try not to talk or communicate excessively when lit up as you will simply be reinforcing the pain. This is the problem the planet is facing currently – too many people communicating from a growth space instead of waiting for clarity. Have a look if what is coming up is new or some old programming. What you are experiencing isn’t something to figure out, but simply to be aware of. Once you have an awareness of what has come up for you you will be in a position to ‘work it’. Your awareness of and presence with the pain that you experience is what begins to transform it.

The truth is that you are psychic and can act on what you see, feel, experience. There are many tools that can be used. For example, visually grounding your body into the centre of the planet from the base of your spine is an immediate healing. You may want to try grounding in a meditation to give yourself some space to release any excess energy that you may have picked up and create some space for your own energy and needs. There are many other wonderful tools that you can learn in the meditation class.

Then, when you approach ‘the world’ in this way your words and actions will be guided from a clear and healed space. You will be a much-needed healing to others without as much as lifting a finger. You vibrationally set the example. No struggle or effort required.
