Become renewed and transformed with meditation

When moving through a challenging growth period, where do you find support and renewal?

Your growth period may be quite a biggie. You may be handling some difficult energies such as disappointment, pain, hurt, confusion or other. Maybe life is challenging you to let go of your expectations about how things should be and instead surrender to the Universal flow? Whatever the case, spiritually we grow the most when we do not get what we want, because we are bumping into our own attachments to things.

By default, when discomfort, pain or growth comes up, most people go into the habitual comfort patterns. They might reach for food, drink, entertainment or substances. They may be constantly checking social profile or email. They may spend copious amounts of time working or doing whatever else will temporarily give them an endorphin rush. These are the addictions and bad habits that only strengthen and confirm attachment to worldly things. The problem with addictions is primarily that they are there only as a distraction, a futile attempt to fill a hole that can not be filled. It’s like applying band-aid on a broken bone – it will simply not do the job.

Giving in to your addictions, however severe or mild they may be, might temporarily alleviate the discomfort, but completely ignores and invalidates the real source of your troubles.

In holistic medicine we look to deal with and heal the source rather than merely band-aiding the symptoms. There is really no point in wasting time with addictions and distractions. The only way through really is to deal with the underlying issues head on rather than running away from them. For most people, however, the source of one’s pain may be difficult to discern, so quiet time is needed to commune with the truth in one’s body and soul.

A good way to begin to renew and heal yourself in a life-affirming and holistic way and to connect with the truths in your heart and body is to spend time out in the nature. You might already have discovered this for yourself and may already be doing it regularly. If not, I highly recommend it – nature is a great healer.

Now, if for whatever reason you can’t spend time out in the nature, you could practice meditation and grounding in the peace and quiet of your own home instead. Adding daily meditation into your schedule will put you firmly on the path to balance and self-healing. Meditation and grounding may very well be the tools that help you through the most difficult times. I have not, as of yet, discovered anything else more effective and powerful.

I like to imagine my meditation time as taking the time to stop, smell the roses and nourish myself by drinking the life giving waters directly from the Well of Life itself, which is of course Source. I use meditation time to commune with the truth in my heart. I just sit in silence without trying to do anything and observe without judgement what comes up. Then using visualisation I might act on what I see or not, whatever feels right at the time. There are no rules.

At times we can move through life a little wilfully, trying to get our way, trying to control others and situations. And then act like spoiled little brats when we don’t get our own way. With meditation you can begin to transform this pattern and surrender to the Universal flow, which takes care of everyone’s needs equally. Through meditation you create the space to discover that there is no need to control anything. In such a state of surrender you instead become receptive to spirit to flow into you and as a result to bring you all that it is that you have asked and yearned for. And it will come in a more beautiful and graceful way than you were able to even imagine from your limited human perspective.

The psychic child within

Many of the stern adults of today were once sensitive and psychic children. All children are intuitive and own their gifts with ease. However, as they grow older, they may not have permission to use their abilities and as a result lose touch with them.

Let’s be very clear: there is absolutely nothing woo-woo about being intuitive. The idea that it is something mystical or magical in a negative way comes from fears and limited thinking that have been conditioned upon us over the ages. It is an entirely natural ability that comes with being human. No extra effort required.

Put it this way, if you have a soul, then you are psychic. Simple as that. Using your ability means getting in touch with that part of yourself we call ‘the soul’ or whatever else you want to call it. It is of course much more complex than just ‘a soul’, but to simplify we can say it is that part of you that is connected with the source of all answers and is all you need for your healing and well-being.

The easiest and quickest way to access your intuition is primarily through imagination. You can also connect through sensations, feelings, sounds or knowingness, but imagination is the way that is most fun and natural. You may not think you are very imaginative, but if you can envision the simple image of an apple, then you already have what it takes to receive communication from your spirit. Now the task becomes to quiet the noise within and around you down enough so as to be able to hear the often subtle voice of your soul.

Daydreaming is a very fun and joyful way through which children access their own answers. They do this very naturally and without making a fuss about it. Children have not yet been heavily conditioned by those around them, so they allow their imagination and their spirits to wander and play around without restrictions. It is the fundamental curiosity and sense of wonder that drives them to ask the questions and receive the answers. Children are walking and talking geniuses and there is much we could learn from them.

Many of the adults today live their lives carrying around with them the fears, conditioning and the lies handed to them from their parents, authorities or other adults around them. These lies and responsibilities, that they accepted without any questioning, clothed them in an imaginary cloak of security, which was supposed to grant them success in life and keep them safe, but in reality has done nothing else than block them from seeing themselves and those around them clearly. The core lie here is that they cannot access their own answers and couldn’t possibly be psychic. The abilities are there, however, the only question remains: to which extent does any given person choose to use their abilities? Some people passionately pursue their intuitive capacity, while others may want to run from it and turn it off completely.

The basic intuitive skills class is the psychic kindergarten where your inner child gets a hello and you get the chance to slowly begin to nurture and turn own your natural abilities again. You get to be the child again and grow, play and have fun in a safe and supportive learning environment.

2017 is the golden year of spirit

Each year brings with it its own unique energy flavour and 2017 is the year when spirit gets a hello in a very big way. The current energetic atmosphere makes it possible to make great strides in spiritual growth.

This is not a prediction, but rather an observation on what is happening right now. For us as a human race there is the choice to either continue the old way, keep clinging to our comfort and let ego rule the day or we could take that evolutionary step forward and instead give ourselves over to spirit and let spirit lead the way. With the current personal, community, environmental and global challenges we have in front of us it is obvious that if were to let ego continue to rule the day we would surely be heading for self-destruction. Only with spirit leading the way can we become healed and whole again. Many people on the planet already operate solely out of spirit, but there are many as of yet to follow suit.

If you try to carry on business as usual you might not find this year a particularly pleasant or an easy one since the ego no longer gets to have the upper hand. We have seen what happens when people act out of fears and selfishness and it has not been pretty.

The global events throughout 2016 have shown that nothing can be predicted with much accuracy anymore and the only constant you can really rely on is change. This is great since all that unconscious stuff that has been sitting stagnant, hidden away from plain view and manipulating us from the shadows for a long long time is finally getting moved around and being updated into present time now. All the old lies, destructive patterns and fear-based programming that have been controlling, manipulating and sabotaging people from the unconscious have been revealed and brought to clear daylight. We now know exactly who and what we are really dealing with. We know what we must do to move forward. There is no more hiding, no more sitting on the sidelines and accepting the things that are not acceptable. And no one gets to have shortcuts here – we are all in the same boat, so to speak.

More and more people are becoming spiritual activists and are asking the tough questions. Instead of operating on blind faith more people are really examining those long-held beliefs about themselves and their leaders.

The energy of the year 2017 is such that it is especially supportive of new beginnings in every way. It’s a brilliant year to leave behind old habits, that old low-salary job that has been draining your energy, that toxic relationship that has been making you feel inadequate and whatever else has been holding you back from taking that quantum leap into the life you have been dreaming of. Take your next step with the help of an intuitive session right now.

In 2017 visionary leaders are needed, those who can see the truth, love and beauty even in the ugliest of situations. The planet needs those who can boldly imagine a happier, more joyful world for us all to live in.

We need creatives and healers to step up as the spiritual leaders that they truly are. Indeed, much compassion will be needed from the spiritually more experienced ones now more than ever before especially since so many people are awakening.

It will serve us all well to keep in mind that the only place where each and every one of us really has that authority and control is still our own backyards, ourselves and our own energy. This is to say that we cannot control, fix, heal or solve anything for others if such help is not required or asked for.

The best steps we can take immediately and start to move forward is to see what we can change in ourselves right now. This begins with turning within, meditating and using visualization to create the kind of a year we would like to have. Indeed, spirit creates through images, pictures and visions and by creating a clear mental picture of what you want – you will draw that to you. Some action will be required as well, of course, but as you clarify your vision, you will attract what you want to you more effortlessly.

Becoming the total embodiment of your true self

Today may seem like any other day, but in reality it is a very special day indeed. Numerologically speaking today’s date carries with it the 9/9/9 vibration and holds within it immense power for healing, closure and manifestation.

This whole year of 2016 I’ve been watching with curiosity, wonder and amazement how the current year number 9 has been playing itself out. The 999 sequence has literally popped up everywhere and carries with it a lot of meaning. You can easily find out the meaning of the triple 9 by googling it, but I would encourage you to notice what this number sequence means for you personally – you can do that by just paying attention to what the events, situations, lessons and blessings are for you right now.

The number 9 is generally known to represent the Universal spiritual laws, a higher perspective, influence, non-conformity, leading life as a positive example for others, altruism, humanitarianism, philanthropy, healing, teaching, guidance, closure and endings.

Having an abundance of 9 energy in one date signifies the meaning of the number 9 being magnified, which means that it is especially important to pay attention to its meaning. Looking closely, this is truly a time of endings, of doing kind deeds for the humanity as a whole and getting down to business as far as true life purpose is concerned. It’s a good time to take a look at what you are done with and where you want to go next. Of course it can also mean completions in a karmic sense so it’s not always an easy ride – it depends on where you have been! If there is something karmic for you to look at then you may be triggered today. And that is a good thing.

In fact, the whole year of 2016 has been building up to these three dates: September 9, 18 and 27. They all hold the 9/9/9 vibration. If you look closely at the events throughout this year you can see clearly that indeed some sort of collective karmic themes have been explored. Regardless of the drama that has ensued, the most important thing is that people are awakening to their true life purpose.

From a higher perspective the 9/9/9 date signifies the fulfillment of the masculine and the feminine – the union of shiva and shakti as they are known in Hinduism. It’s a good time to take a close look at how you embody both the feminine and the masculine qualities within yourself and where you could possibly embrace more of either one or the other thus becoming more complete and whole within yourself.

Something to be aware of is that the dark masculine can be a fearsome, destructive and bloodthirsty warrior while the dark feminine can be an evil witch. We all carry the elements of both within ourselves. If you don’t accept, love and own the uncomfortable stuff it will simply get pushed into the unconscious and continue to seek expression in an unconscious way, which means it will then simply control your life from behind the scenes. By having something come up for you you will be in a position to examine it in the light of day rather than have it continue controlling your life from the unconscious.

As you own your power, sit in ownership of your true self and speak your truth, the relationships around you will inevitably change. Here’s something to bare in mind: you deserve love and respect and it’s absolutely safe to let go of relationships that do not honor and respect who you really are. If someone rejects you for who you are when you are coming from a pure and authentic place within yourself then they are in fact rejecting themselves. Leave them with their own processes, you can’t change other people’s reactions or choices. It is for them to live with. Be complete within yourself and take good care of yourself by choosing relationships and friendships that honor you. This is to say: trust the wise intuitive counsel of your body.

As a sensitive and aware being you might have been teased from an early age about your sensitivity or bullied or intimidated because you were somehow different. You might still be carrying these wounds around with you in your energy field or these old pictures that say you are somehow not good enough or somehow lacking something. It is loving toward yourself to avoid harsh relationships or situations and to steer toward simplicity. You may need lots of time today to go within and to just be with yourself and to avoid harsh situation. Enjoy and cherish your alone time.

The truth is that you have your own unique inadequacies or shortcomings and those are there for a reason. You came into this lifetime with a set of characteristics and your essence set up those to create conditions for something specific that it wanted to experience. For example, disability might mean less mobility, but it could also open up possibility for you to learn to ask for help rather than attempting to do everything by yourself. A very important theme to look at today is that of letting go of any and all judgements towards yourself.

So today situations may be coming up that may be encouraging you to stand up for yourself and walk in your truth. Maybe you are being pushed energetically and tested for how well you are established in your centre. Maybe you are tested for your ability to soften and be kind. The tendencies are all up now and up for review so you can take a really good look at where you can still grow and expand. Enjoy!

  1. What/who am I done with and ready to let go of?
  2. What do I need to integrate more of: masculine or feminine?
  3. Can I speak my truth without holding back?
  4. Can I be fully present and authentic with the people in my life?
  5. Am I living my own dream or someone else’s?
  6. Do I trust myself?
  7. Am I being loving and kind towards myself?
  8. Can I embrace my shadow without trying to fix it?
  9. Am I being on my path?

Handling change gracefully

The nature of our everyday lives is constant change. It is a universal truth. It is how we evolve. You can count on things to continue to change. And this is a good thing.

Sometimes, however, change around us can happen very rapidly and events can seem to move a little too fast. This tends to be the case especially during big astrological events such as eclipses, full moons, Earth shifts or other metaphysical influences that affect us as a collective. Something that is old and worn-out is now on its way out and something new and as of yet unknown is on its way in. Change comes with growing pains.

The physical body needs comfort, security and familiarity to feel safe and nurtured and all that new energy can be overwhelming for it to process in a short period of time. That tends to light up those survival instincts and blow open your first chakra. The first chakra, which is located at the base of your spine, processes your physical body’s information and handles energies such as survival, home, family, finances, security, cultural programming, health and your eating and sleeping habits. While dealing with change the first chakra tends to get lit up with fears of not having enough or possibly not surviving.

The knee-jerk reaction is to go into effort, try real hard to make things work again as they did before and cling on to the familiarity of what was. The healing solution, however, is essentially very simple: to trust the direction in which things are going and to let go of wanting to know how it will all play itself out.

The best way to keep up with rapid changes is to let go and let your essence take care of the details rather than trying to micro-manage it all on your own from the analyser. Simply give all your fears, worries and concerns over to your essence, aka your spirit, and have essence handle it all for you. Just like that. And ease and grace can return into your life once again. Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? But can you have that?

When adjusting to changes, it’s essential to give your body plenty of time to readjust and process. You may need extra naps. You may need time to just be. You may need to let some tears out. You may need lots of reassurance. Ask for your needs to be met. But let go of what was so that what wants to be will be.

There are new ways of being awaiting their turn: new mock-ups, new creations, new alliances, new friendships. But you have to be willing to let go of the past in order for the new and wonderful to have room to come in.

So how can you most effectively ‘let go’ or ‘release’? Have you ever considered grounded meditation? Gentle grounded meditation, where you sit comfortably in an upright chair, is the best way to effectively handle any extra energy you may have picked up and to release anything that does not belong to you. You pick up energy into your aura even when you don’t really consider yourself very sensitive or empathic. The thing with carrying energy in your space that isn’t yours is that you can’t solve pain or questions that don’t belong to you.

Grounding is the tool with which to safely release any excess energy. You can use grounding to connect your first chakra to the centre of the planet to calm your body and to give it nurturing. Grounding and other psychic tools are accessed through your natural gift of visualization.

Gentle meditation time can make it possible for you to get back in touch with your own energy and your own needs again. From that intuitive space of neutrality, just being and awareness you will be equipped to handle changes gracefully rather than dramatically.

Are you listening to your body?

Life isn’t all about hard work, getting tasks done and meeting deadlines. Regular gentle downtime is needed to recover your energy levels and to nurture your body.

Here’s the thing, before you can really give to others, before you can truly show up 100% – you have to be able to also give to yourself. You have to feel deserving enough of your own kindness before you can truly give it to others. If you want wellness you have to put yourself more to centre of that giving and receiving spectrum. Balance opens the pathway for abundance to flow in.

Constantly giving of yourself, working hard and getting stuff done, without taking proper time to consider your body and your own needs you will end up depleted, worn out and with nothing left to give. This route might even take you to illness, because you have excluded your well-being from the picture.

On the other hand, if you take time to consider your own needs and fulfil those needs without regularly putting them on the bottom of your to-do-list, you will have more energy and vitality to move through the day with.

To begin with, self-appreciation is an energy to say hello to when considering giving to yourself. Think about how can you appreciate yourself more and be really kind to yourself right now? If people around you aren’t showing up for you or aren’t giving you the kindness you feel that you may need – you have to be that ‘people’ for yourself. By giving to yourself what you need you immediately balance out your inner masculine and feminine energies. Rather than waiting for someone else to come along and fulfil your needs, you can do it yourself. You can be your own hero.

Another point to consider is: who are you really creating for? Who do those mock-ups and dreams of yours actually belong to? Is the dream you are working hard for truly what you really want? Can you let yourself dream a brand new dream that you actually like and want to participate in wholeheartedly? Are you still trying to please one of your parents by holding down a job that you don’t even like?

To begin to create for yourself you have to take a very honest and close look at if you can actually have those things you say you want. Can you have what you say it is that you want?

The magic of creating those things for yourself that you say you want begins with feeling good about yourself. And feeling good about yourself and feeling loved starts with you, yourself. It’s not something you get from outside of you or the others around you. You have to see yourself as worthy and deserving first, compliment yourself, and then the Universe will send you people who will validate that choice and will compliment you even more. On the other hand, if you are in judgement about yourself – you will meet plenty of people who will be in judgement about you, as well. You get to choose which way you want to go. You get to set the energy. Start by deciding right now that you are eternally lovable and shower yourself with kind compliments. You may even visualize that right now.

So go ahead and ask yourself this right now: what is it that your body, your senses, your feelings and your spirit are yearning for right now? See it! Feel it! Sense it! Know it! And then go ahead and give that to yourself. Right now. No, don’t wait until tomorrow – do it now!

While you are pondering over this worthwhile question, here’s a handy list to consider …

  • Nurturing little daytime naps
  • Reading a good book
  • Having raw cacao-based hot chocolate
  • Eating organic food – your body will be very grateful for this
  • Taking some time off from busy work-life
  • A walk through nature
  • Caring for houseplants
  • A holiday by the sea or in the forest
  • Unstructured creative time such as painting, playing music, writing or many other creative outlets. Dedicating time to those creative projects are nurturing for you

Intuitive tools 101: the miracle of a spiritual hello

Just recently I spoke on the phone with someone from a psychic hot-line based here in the UK and it quickly became very clear that most of the general public are looking for a prediction on what will be rather than what can be worked with in the present time. There is really very little awareness of choice and creating in present time.

I looked at the energy of this hot-line as well as their website and saw that they rely heavily on their readers making predictions in the old-school fortune telling style, which is that the reader gives the readee a kind of a promise of what will happen so as to calm the readee’s fears about the future. This is to ensure that those readees keep coming back to this hot-line on a regular basis.

This style of psychic reading, however, does not consider the creative spirit of either the readee or the reader! The reader isn’t working with one’s own pictures and the readee isn’t having to do much work on oneself either. No growth is gained here. Not to mention it is dis-empowering.

An interesting observation I made was that it’s especially those people who have a large part of their energy vibrating in the past that are the ones most anxious about the future and seeking predictions. That is, they are working through some sort of heavy karma and have not as of yet awakened to themselves as a creative spirit in a body.

A readee who is seeking a quick prediction often does not realize that the future isn’t set in stone and that one can alter it by making choices in the present. He doesn’t realize that he creates his own reality through choices and beliefs in the present. Very few people also realize that instead of a prediction that promises great riches, fame and success, all one really needs is a simple healing.

The psychic reading style that does not consider the creative spirit, the soul or whatever you wan to call it, is lacking the most essential ingredient. Without such an awareness no true healing can occur.

Most people are unaware of themselves as spiritual beings and are unable to validate their own spirits. However, spirit, which is your own unique information, grows through validation. Your perceptions grow through your own inner validation not so much through validation that you receive from the outside. Outer validation can be a bonus of course, but can’t be leaned on at all times.

Sometimes, when processing invalidation, it can feel as though your hello doesn’t count, as though nothing works and all this energywork is just airy-fairy and plain useless, because there is very little outer world validation for it. Much of what we discuss about the world of energy is indeed subjective and depending on everyone’s own personal beliefs and perceptions, each of which are valid for that individual, of course, but here’s the one thing that always works miraculously: a spiritual hello! A simple spiritual hello is all that is needed sometimes to help heal someone and to help them back on track. It’s like a spiritual hug.

When you receive a hello on your spirit, an immediate healing happens. You will automatically be able to access the source of healing and well-being for yourself, the source of your own answers.

A simple spiritual hello to someone in a growth period is enough to give them a healing. No words, long explanations or theories are necessary. Just a graceful spiritual hello and one can immediately begin to access one’s own answers.

I have given many spiritual hello’s by visually looking at and validating someone on a spiritual level and witnessed the immediate miraculous effects of doing so each time. I have given spiritual hellos through thousands of scheduled readings as well as in impromptu everyday life situations.

I will share some examples with you …

One time, a few years ago now, I was doing part-time work in health care and I was working in a nursing home, caring for a very old woman. She had advanced dementia and was completely bed-ridden. That day she did not want to eat, but I was told by the senior nurse to continue to encourage her to eat. So I decided to check in with her on a spiritual level and give her a hello to see if a healing would make a difference. Her previously dull and lifeless eyes suddenly opened full of wonder and surprise. She now looked straight at me as though with recognition – she could not believe I could actually see her in her true form beyond the body. She then psychically communicated to me that she did not want to eat. I stopped trying to feed her and left her in peace after this.

Another time I was walking a woman with dementia, who had been wandering, back to her flat. She is a very sweet lady, very co-operative and peaceful, but very confused and usually does not make much sense when she speaks. Then, as we were walking, I suddenly saw a being out in front of me right outside of her apartment. She then asked me very clearly ‘who is it?’ I was astonished by her sudden responsiveness and presence; obviously, she too could see the being.

And last year after a bit of an unpleasant flight, when I arrived at the baggage collection area, I found out that my suitcase was missing and I wasn’t sure if I was ever getting it back! I then gave this whole situation a spiritual hello. I made sure to see the situation resolved and sent my gratitude to all those who were working hard to deliver my suitcase back to me. A few moments later I received a text message that the suitcase had been located and was already on its way back to me. While this wasn’t a hello to a living being as such it was still a hello on the energy of the situation and a hello to those that were in charge of this situation. This stressful situation became healed and resolved almost instantly with the help of a spiritual hello.

So the practical action steps to take are …

  1. Center yourself and get into a nice meditative space.
  2. Bring your awareness to the middle of your head.
  3. Visually see yourself out in front of you. See yourself grounded. See you energy moving. See your chakras spinning, aura layers flowing. See and sense.
  4. Enjoy the spiritual hello!

Intuitive tools 101: your space

Just as there are basic visualization tools that run through the whole of the meditation program curriculum, there is also the notion of space. Gaining space may perhaps be the whole underlying purpose of using all of these psychic tools.

In essence, all of the meditations in this program, are truly about you creating space for yourself. You create space from your parents, your siblings, your friends, your children, your partner, your job, your responsibilities and what have you. Now, not everyone will be moving out of your space willingly and with a smile, some will be going kicking and screaming – you may just have to allow them to have their growth period.

When you begin to meditate with your awareness resting in the centre of your head you gradually begin to see yourself more and more clearly. You also begin to see any old or unwanted energies such as outdated agreements and other people’s pain that you may have unknowingly been carrying around and you will certainly want to release those. Once you do that you begin to see even more clearly.

Here’s the thing, by bringing your agreements into present time and by releasing other people’s energy you don’t detach or disassociate – you simply refresh your space and create more space for you to be able to see yourself clearly and to know yourself. You can continue to have any old relationships of course, but you would still want to move anyone else’s energy out of your space. While using the tools you will certainly see clearly those around you, but that is not the point; the point is to see yourself clearly.

Each time you practice the psychic meditation you are giving yourself a beautiful gift – a breathing space for you just to be you. And as you give to yourself, you also become a healing for others who may not have learned to create space for themselves yet.

When you have that breathing space to know yourself and just to be you … your creativity and your ability to make better choices for yourself increases.

In the meditation classes I often refer to your space as your aura, but of course, your space includes all of you including all of your chakras, energy channels and your physical body.

Having your space is not a constant event. Your space, your aura, is a flow of information and in constant motion and communication with the world around you. Losing your space to some energy that isn’t yours and then finding it again by kicking out the intruder is the norm. Daily life presents plenty of opportunities to lose your neutrality and therefore also your space. Practising meditation and using your tools your certainty grows and as a result you begin to find your space much faster than you do in the beginning. In the beginning, losing your space can seem like a terrible tragedy, but it is part of a never-ending dance: lose space, find space, lose space, find space and so forth. Your certainty grows each time that you return to yourself and give yourself that much needed space.

Intuitive tools 101: being in present time

Bringing your awareness back into the present moment is the first step you take when you begin to meditate. This is often not an immediate event, but tends to be a smooth transition. You do this very gently.

When you start to meditate, you may have to take a moment to call your energy back into present time from wherever it may have been spread out to and from wherever you may have been handling something for yourself and others. Typically our energies can get quite scattered all over the place.

Your spiritual body is very flexible with the time-line and can travel across all directions of time with great ease, but if you don’t regularly ground and come back into present time, your natural body can become anxious. Bringing yourself back into present time is immediately healing and calming for your physical body.

Here’s the thing, everything occurs in the present time including your ability to see clearly. It will be hard to see clear images when visualizing if a large part of your energy is vibrating in the past or in the future. You need to reset your grounding into present time and create and destroy some roses in order to be able to see clearly.

With your awareness in present time and more of your own energy available to you – you will able to see clearly. And being able to see clearly you will be more easily able to heal yourself.

The pain in the physical body often acts as an alarm bell that brings you back into the present moment and that’s because the physical body itself is always in the present time. If you bump into a table, you will know about it. Being present to yourself effectively avoids collisions.

We tend to get anxious about the future or depressed about the past, because we typically either hold on to pain from the past or worry about potential dangers in the future. That is the instinctive animal mind and it is only human. Bringing your energy back into present time through complete surrender and trust you can heal yourself and regain a childlike innocence. You surrender to the Divine and trust that all your cares and concerns will be taken care of according to Divine will.

Practising grounded meditation can also require some discipline as you may need to let go of responsibility that isn’t yours and instead own what is yours. Not always a pretty picture, which is often why people go unconscious, pop out of body, drift away and either start guilt-tripping about the past or roaming through the future.

The only way through those ingrained tendencies is constant spiritual practice done with dedication and discipline. Negative tendencies are overcome with constant repetitions of new positive ones and a good dose of trust and surrender.

The present moment is all there is. Both he past and future exist only in our imagination. And the good thing with imagination is that if there’s something you don’t like, you can change it. In the same way you can heal the past by playfully re-visualizing difficult situations in a way as to empower yourself and by bringing your affinity for yourself back into present time.

Intuitive tools 101: Grounding

Grounding is a tool that is essential to intuitive work and runs through all the meditations in the meditation program.

Energy that doesn’t get grounded remains just that: energy. It has no legs to walk on and will simply swirl around without direction. No brilliant ideas or dreams were ever made real without proper grounding.

A wonderful use for grounding is to release any excess energy that you may be carrying around in your space. That same energy can be grounded in all sorts of other ways such as through the hands, through the incessant ruminations of the analyzer or by drowning yourself in the happy hour. However, at the meditation program we ground visually into the center of the planet.

Without grounding yourself and your own energy, you would be spaced out, scattered and leaking your energy all over the place. On the other hand, when you ground yourself, you become real and more solid. In a way, grounding is also a kind of protection from any energy that may want to push you around.

Put it this way, nothing really gets done without grounding.

The best and most brilliant use of grounding is of course grounding yourself. In addition, it can also be used to ground the room that you are in, to ground objects, events, ideas or even other people.

Here is a simple grounding exercise for you …

  1. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and become centered.
  2. Imagine yourself as a simple figurine out in front of you. Don’t worry about seeing too much detail at this point, just intend that the figurine represents you. That is sufficient.
  3. Visually look at the base of your spine and imagine sending a grounding cord from there all the way down to the center of the planet. You can use a grounding cord of any texture or width that you prefer and that feels good to you. Some of the options are: a tree trunk, a rope, a cruise ship anchor, a waterfall, a laser beam, colored light or whatever you prefer. Play around with it until you find what suits you.
  4. Now take a few moments to simply allow for any old or excess energy in your space to begin to release down to the Earth. Notice how your body responds to this.

Say hello to your grounding! How does it look for you right now?

The miracle of grounding is that it can speed up manifestations. Here’s a true story of what happened to me in August in the summer of 2015 …

I had just returned from visiting my family back home in Estonia and upon arrival to London Heathrow airport I discovered that my suitcase hadn’t arrived with me. The airport staff told me that they did not know where my suitcase was and that they were working to locate it. Okay, that was quite worrying since I had only three days to prepare for my next long trip to India. So I was waiting for news on my suitcase, all the while unsure if I was going to receive it on time. Just two days before my trip, I was doing some energywork with an intuitive friend of mine. I imagined the whole lost suitcase situation in the form of a rose and gave it a good, solid grounding. I watched as any excess energy released from it and allowed myself to connect with a sense of peace that it will be found on time. And then, still right in the middle of this meditation, I received a text message saying that the suitcase had been found and that it was already on its way towards my address. Woo hoo!
