Psychic meditation helps you to connect with your own truth

At times things can get a little heated and you may feel pressure from others to conform, fit into a mould, do as you’re told … How do you manage that kind of energy? Have you tried meditating yet?

When you sit down to meditate, you are entering a stress free zone that is entirely your own. You are your own boss in this space and no one gets to dictate anything to you here. Using visualisation tools you can also safely release any weighty or stressful energy that you may have picked up from others.

The time spent sitting in communication with your body, your Essence, your own answers and Source is time spent very wisely indeed. Namely, the more often you do this, the easier it becomes to get into a centered and meditative state at all times, including during times of duress. Meditation is indeed an invaluable tool to help you to quickly move through any unpleasant situations with all of your integrity intact.

The great thing about receiving intuitive guidance in your meditation space is that it comes from your own truth and does not have to be proved, explained or defended to anyone. You have full permission to clear any energy that says otherwise! Imagine living your life free from competition and from having to make sense to anyone – how fun and liberating!

Very often the Universe gives us lessons that require us to let go of having to ‘know’ where we’re heading, to let go of struggling and to simply trust. In those times the communication you may be receiving from Source may not make a whole lot of sense to your analytical mind. Indeed, if you were to keep on insisting that the communication fit into a specific mould, an expectation, then the result is that you will miss the true underlying message. It might not be what you expected, but is quite likely something even better! Trust in the infinite compassion of Source to know the most healing and loving solutions for everyone involved.

What may help you to quickly get into a space of clear communication with the God-of-Your-Heart and Source are the psychic tools. I’m not talking about external tools here such as oracle cards, a pendulum or a magic wand, but rather visualisation tools such as grounding, running energy and the rose image. These tools work entirely on visualisation and intention and can help you to access your own answers much more easily and effortlessly than otherwise. There are of course many other different and entirely valid ways to receive information, such as through feelings, sensations, just knowing, as a hunch or an instinct, but the truth is that visual images are the most accurate and the least biased.

Using your tools you will be easily able to release expectations and judgements from your space and receive clear communication from spirit for what it actually is.

Have fun with your growth periods

We all get those times in our lives, when nothing makes sense and it may be hard to sit down, relax and to just take it easy. You may be handling some discomfort or releasing some old pain. It’s totally okay to not have a clue where you are heading with all this.

Your body may be changing, your world views may be changing, your energy may be changing. You may recently have thrown out a whole bunch of old pictures about yourself or the world that you live in and got into the process of integrating a whole new you. This takes a lot of energy and patience from both yourself as well as those around you and there is no hurry through it.

A growth period is when you as a spiritual being are changing and it’s not always a very comfortable space to be in.

Whatever kind of growth period you may be into right now, please be very gentle with yourself. There is no perfect way to grow, no rules or regulations. You are doing the very best you can already. Indeed, you are pure love at your core.

So, on a more practical level, how do you handle these periods? Everyone sure has their own ways, but the best tool for handling growth periods with grace is meditation. Meditation makes it possible to instantly regain your space and your composure. When you sit in a grounded meditation space with awareness resting in the middle of your head – you reclaim your space. You take back your space to just be, to breathe and to have no rules.

I often talk about grounded meditation in this blog simply because it is such a wonderful and powerful tool for healing yourself and subsequently also for healing those around you.

With meditation you go from pushing and fretting your way through a growth period to gracefully gliding through it. Imagine yourself on a surfboard masterfully riding that huge wave of growth. Yes, you can have fun with it!

When you go into your meditation space you can come to awareness of the energies you have been carrying around with you. Instead of being at the effect of the energies in your space and letting them dictate to you how to live your life, you can be the one to choose what you want to keep here and what you want to let go. You can easily release pain, effort, resistance, heaviness, self-doubt, invalidation and all that is weighing you down. You can be your own boss and give your day a colour you like. Again, you are free to make it fun!

With daily meditation as your ally you can be in a growth period and still have fun and play like a child. When you get your breathing space back, you will know and experience in a very visceral way that no matter what, all is well.

Grounding helps to make you real

As an intuitive energy reader and a healer I always work from a grounded space. Before I learned to ground myself I felt that something was missing. It was hard for me to be myself around others, to assert myself and to have my own space.

You ground yourself and all of your own information by connecting the base of your spine to the centre of the planet. Your own information is your spirit, your unique energy, and grounding is what helps to bring all of you back into your body. Without grounding you’d simply be floating around somewhere. A phrase comes to mind here for lack of grounding: “the lights are on, but no one’s home.”

Indeed, it was when I began practising grounding that I was finally able to lower my vibration enough to start taking real action steps towards my dreams, goals and life purpose. Without grounding it was nice to float around and explore the ethers, but it was also very hard to realise myself in the right here and now. So, when I was done with exploring and ready to get real, the Universe sent me teachers who taught me how to ground myself.

Giving myself a grounding cord in my early twenties was one of the most beautiful healing gifts I could have ever given to myself. I never felt more fulfilled until I started grounding myself and things only got better and better from there on. Grounding allowed me to release any old and excess pain energy that I’d been carrying around for everyone around me and I finally discovered who I was underneath all of that old energy. I discovered I could actually have my own space for myself. Knowing myself and getting clear on who I was, I was finally also able to become more assertive and self-assured.

Grounding allowed me to take back my space and to become more assertive.

Besides grounding myself I also began grounding everything else: my home, my town, my computer, my food, my dreams and much more. Doing so created many healings. Giving my dreams a grounding cord allowed for the vibration of the dream to manifest in the here and now much faster than it would have done without grounding. I also began healing stressful situations very quickly by grounding them.

On my recent trip to India I was on a flight from Trivandrum to Delhi and sat next to a traditional healer from a Southern Indian state. We spoke about many things and I introduced the grounding technique to him. He expressed his belief that grounding yourself you could become too materialistic and out of touch with your heart. This seems to be the prevailing belief out there and is actually not true since when you ground yourself you simply ground your own information. With grounding you can realise who you already are. And from that space of being real many wonderful healings and miracles happen. By grounding yourself you take full ownership of who you are and are then able to learn and grow much much more than you would be if you were aimlessly floating around in the ethers.

Grounding is what validates who you are as a spiritual being and helps to make you real here in the physical body.

Another thing this Indian healer and many old school practitioners share in common is that they often use a lot of external tools such as feathers, crystals, oracle cards, pendulums, oils, candles, incense and what not. At the Hello EssenceJoy Healing Centre we do not use external tools. Instead, we work from a centered and meditative space and only practice visual tools. We validate our own truth. Grounding and self-validation are essential to the intuitive path, because they allow you to feel safe enough in your body to have your abilities on turned on. With your abilities safely turned on you no longer need external tools since you have what you need already available to you within you.

The daily gratitude list

When times are uncertain and change happens rapidly both within and around us we need something real to lean into. The physical body needs some kind of regular reassurance otherwise it can manifest imbalance.

Your spiritual body is a high energy and vibrates very fast and your physical body has a much lower vibration. Spirit is itself an inexhaustible source of energy, which allows it to keep going without needing to rest. The physical body however, which is an elemental, needs rest to recover from excess activity.

Being very firmly focused on your mock-ups, the future and all that is yet to be achieved, your energy can become projected far out into the future and therefore out of body. Too much growth and forward movement without regularly slowing down and stopping to smell the roses and appreciating how far you’ve come can throw you out of balance. What we want to create are the spirit’s domain, but we must also consider the needs of the body – that is the only way to wholeness. No part of us can be left out.

A healing happens when you ground yourself and come back into present time where the body is. Your physical body is always in present time. You can ground in many ways including eating, exercising, touching something, lying down or you can just as easily ground with visualization, a tool that I have talked about a lot in this blog. In addition to visually grounding, counting your blessings is another way to quickly ground and to bring yourself back into present time. From that space of appreciation your body naturally relaxes and thus heals itself.

Some of the things that are reassuring for the body are: nature walks, herbal tea, organic food, slow and mindful movements, gardening, rest, playtime, a warming cup of hot cocoa and much more.

The green grass, the tall trees, the birds, the moss, the soft breeze and the silent, fragrant symphony of the mid-summer’s woods have stories to tell. Listen.

Gratitude is a safety net that we can lean into when times are somehow difficult. Choosing to be grateful brings peace and quietude to the heart and calms worries. Feeling gratitude is like that moment when you let out a big sigh of relief and suddenly realize how blessed you are. You breath easy when you are grateful. The good things never went away – just your awareness of them did.

Being grateful for the simple everyday things that we usually take for granted reminds the body that its needs are always met no matter how wild life can get sometimes. Gratitude nourishes you and allows you to put everything in perspective. It is grounding for the body since it gives it something tangible to support it.

The truth is there is always plenty to be grateful for, but sometimes we forget. Remembering to be grateful we can take some time and nourish the body. So please join me in counting at least 10 things to be grateful for every day.

Here are my daily 10 for today:

  1. It’s a beautiful green and abundantly fragrant summer.
  2. There is plenty of sunshine.
  3. I have a beautiful big garden that I can work in.
  4. I hear lots of birdsong while I sit here writing this blog.
  5. I have plenty of raw organic cacao to make hot chocolate.
  6. I have a beautiful home.
  7. I have healthy organic food that comes straight from my garden.
  8. I experienced serenity earlier while picking berries in the woods.
  9. I have food on the table.
  10. I have a wonderful, supportive family.

Healing from the inside out

When you comes across pain in others either on a global scale or on a personal level, you get lit up. It is perfectly natural and it is an opportunity for you to learn something new about yourself.

The immediate knee-jerk response tends to be to want to heal, help and give advice or otherwise influence the event that you have absolutely no control over. When you are in that ‘knee-jerk response’ space you can be sure that you are matching to the drama you witnessed. Other people’s pain is very real and you need tools and awareness to sort out what belongs to you and what doesn’t.

The thing is, if you really want to help ‘heal the world’, please be aware that ‘the world’ is you. Your perceptions of the outside world and what you experience as upsetting events outside of you are reflective of something going on within you. The outer world is a mirror of the inner you. Begin healing the world by healing yourself first.

The keyword here is ‘control’. As a spiritual being in a physical body, you only ever really get to have control over your own thoughts, emotions, reactions, behaviour and energy. In other words, you only have control over your own space. You can inspire change and healing in others, but that cannot be achieved through fighting or resisting others and what they are putting out there. You only create change by being the change you want to see.

The first real step towards healing is to create space to take a good close look at what comes up for you. Try not to talk or communicate excessively when lit up as you will simply be reinforcing the pain. This is the problem the planet is facing currently – too many people communicating from a growth space instead of waiting for clarity. Have a look if what is coming up is new or some old programming. What you are experiencing isn’t something to figure out, but simply to be aware of. Once you have an awareness of what has come up for you you will be in a position to ‘work it’. Your awareness of and presence with the pain that you experience is what begins to transform it.

The truth is that you are psychic and can act on what you see, feel, experience. There are many tools that can be used. For example, visually grounding your body into the centre of the planet from the base of your spine is an immediate healing. You may want to try grounding in a meditation to give yourself some space to release any excess energy that you may have picked up and create some space for your own energy and needs. There are many other wonderful tools that you can learn in the meditation class.

Then, when you approach ‘the world’ in this way your words and actions will be guided from a clear and healed space. You will be a much-needed healing to others without as much as lifting a finger. You vibrationally set the example. No struggle or effort required.

“Go back and take care of yourself. Your body needs you. Your feelings need you. Your perceptions need you. Your suffering needs you to acknowledge it. Go home and be there for all these things.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh

A healing gives a hello to your wholeness

The whole purpose of a healing is to restore the wholeness and wellness that already exists within you. Your body and spirit have much more self-healing capacity than you may realize.

The definition of wellness is quite frankly ‘being well’. It is the harmonic relationship that exists when your chakras spin clearly without obstructions and when there’s an optimal communication between your natural body and your spiritual body. You come to a harmonic through a healing. Imagine your body like a musical instrument – you too sometimes need a tune up.

Wellness like everything else is a vibration and can easily be accessed on an energy level through visualization. The only question is: can you have it?

You might want wellness, but if a large portion of your healing energy is focused outside of yourself healing everyone else and handling issues that have nothing to do with you then don’t be surprised if very little of that energy actually remains for you to deal with your own issues and questions. You have to give to yourself first so you can then give to others.

When you are manifesting health issues on the physical level you can be sure that those began on an energy level and can be accessed and healed clairvoyantly. It is your spirit that does the healing work, but in a healing session the healer’s purpose is to facilitate that awareness and help you access that healing energy. This works through validation – when you spirit receives validation it immediately begins to access its greater potential.

Often when you need a healing and regardless of how out of whack you may feel, there is typically only one or just a few pictures that have been blocking your natural flow. Clearing that one single picture gets your energy moving and you experiencing your natural wellness again. A healing removes the troublesome picture and restores wholeness of body, emotions, mind and spirit.

An intuitive healing is different from an intuitive reading in that in a healing we put less attention on what we are letting go of and more attention on what is coming in, that is, the next step. We do not dwell on the energy that is moving out, which are the old stories, pain and invalidation. Therefore, in a healing often less communication is offered, so as to allow for the change to happen rather than holding on to the old pictures.

You can give yourself a healing by visualizing yourself in wellness. For example, instead of worrying about something – visualize the outcome you want. Using visualization is a way to access your spirit’s creative ability and is the quickest way to create change and healing. And the best part about this is that this stuff actually works!

If you would like to learn to visualize more clearly and get to know your unique energy system, why don’t you join our meditation class and start healing yourself straight away!

Honoring our limits

Unlike spirit, the physical body is not invincible or eternal. It has its limitations and you would be wise to honour those limitations – they are there for a reason.

If you want to lead a happy and healthy life of wellness you have to get very familiar with your personal unique limitations and take care to honour those. Otherwise you could set yourself up for a lot of misery later down the line.

That is not to say you should give up any and all effort as soon as you bump up against even the slightest challenge. Of course not. When the time comes, you would still occasionally want to push past your limiting beliefs, addictions or comfort zone. However, be aware if you are coming from grace and surrender or brute force. Your body is the most accurate psychic tool for letting you know how you are handling your growth periods.

Pressure, demands or competition from others may make you feel guilty or shameful about your humanness and believe you are weak if you say ‘no’, when you could be doing more, working harder and just spreading yourself super-thin trying to please everyone. Learning to set boundaries and saying ‘no’ is a big lesson for you peacemakers and unconscious healers out there.

It is a spiritual perfect picture that dictates that one should be able to achieve anything without having occasional rest, recovery or plain downtime. This is very true for the eternal and forever regenerating spirit, but not so true for the body. If pushed past its natural limits for an extended period of time without proper rest, the body will eventually create downtime for itself through illness.

You don’t have to play God for anyone, you don’t have to be perfect. A perfect picture is the result of judgement – it is not the truth or reality.

When you push past your limitations trying to be everything for everyone, you are sacrificing yourself and your own needs. This doesn’t do anyone any good, especially you. You are always teaching by your example and when you sacrifice yourself you are setting the energy and others will match to it. This will make for a whole bunch of very unhappy people, because sacrifice is an energy leak. It is not nurturing, healing or wholesome in any way.

On the other hand, when you honour your limitations and set your boundaries you will set the perfect example to others for how to take good care of oneself. An example of how to love yourself and be your own best friend. By honouring your limitations and lovingly setting your boundaries you are actually creating the space for others to show up authentic too.

Here are some practical steps that you can take to begin to honour your natural limits straight away …

  • Resting when you need to
  • Saying ‘no’ when you don’t feel like doing something
  • Not cramming your to-do-list full of unrealistic tasks
  • Setting realistic goals for yourself
  • Going more slowly
  • Eating the kinds of foods that are good for your body
  • Walking away from anything that doesn’t feel good
  • Choosing to be kind to yourself even when others aren’t

Handling change gracefully

The nature of our everyday lives is constant change. It is a universal truth. It is how we evolve. You can count on things to continue to change. And this is a good thing.

Sometimes, however, change around us can happen very rapidly and events can seem to move a little too fast. This tends to be the case especially during big astrological events such as eclipses, full moons, Earth shifts or other metaphysical influences that affect us as a collective. Something that is old and worn-out is now on its way out and something new and as of yet unknown is on its way in. Change comes with growing pains.

The physical body needs comfort, security and familiarity to feel safe and nurtured and all that new energy can be overwhelming for it to process in a short period of time. That tends to light up those survival instincts and blow open your first chakra. The first chakra, which is located at the base of your spine, processes your physical body’s information and handles energies such as survival, home, family, finances, security, cultural programming, health and your eating and sleeping habits. While dealing with change the first chakra tends to get lit up with fears of not having enough or possibly not surviving.

The knee-jerk reaction is to go into effort, try real hard to make things work again as they did before and cling on to the familiarity of what was. The healing solution, however, is essentially very simple: to trust the direction in which things are going and to let go of wanting to know how it will all play itself out.

The best way to keep up with rapid changes is to let go and let your essence take care of the details rather than trying to micro-manage it all on your own from the analyser. Simply give all your fears, worries and concerns over to your essence, aka your spirit, and have essence handle it all for you. Just like that. And ease and grace can return into your life once again. Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? But can you have that?

When adjusting to changes, it’s essential to give your body plenty of time to readjust and process. You may need extra naps. You may need time to just be. You may need to let some tears out. You may need lots of reassurance. Ask for your needs to be met. But let go of what was so that what wants to be will be.

There are new ways of being awaiting their turn: new mock-ups, new creations, new alliances, new friendships. But you have to be willing to let go of the past in order for the new and wonderful to have room to come in.

So how can you most effectively ‘let go’ or ‘release’? Have you ever considered grounded meditation? Gentle grounded meditation, where you sit comfortably in an upright chair, is the best way to effectively handle any extra energy you may have picked up and to release anything that does not belong to you. You pick up energy into your aura even when you don’t really consider yourself very sensitive or empathic. The thing with carrying energy in your space that isn’t yours is that you can’t solve pain or questions that don’t belong to you.

Grounding is the tool with which to safely release any excess energy. You can use grounding to connect your first chakra to the centre of the planet to calm your body and to give it nurturing. Grounding and other psychic tools are accessed through your natural gift of visualization.

Gentle meditation time can make it possible for you to get back in touch with your own energy and your own needs again. From that intuitive space of neutrality, just being and awareness you will be equipped to handle changes gracefully rather than dramatically.

You might want to try the six week psychic meditation class that I teach both in person here in Eastbourne as well as a correspondence course accessible via phone conferencing. In this program you will learn many wonderful energywork tools that help you to keep your space no matter what the outer circumstances are.

Intuitive tools 101: run your energy!

Circulating your energy is another intuitive tool that is a cornerstone of psychic meditation along with grounding, centering and creating and destroying. It is a visual tool that is used to clear unwanted energy and is essential for helping you to get in touch with your own energy and answers.

The underlying principle behind this visualization is that energy is in constant motion. Your space, your chakras and your aura are not a static event. There is constant movement.

In the class we watch nourishing and nurturing energy flowing from the earth up to the feet, up the leg channels, into the base chakra and back down to the earth; and cosmic energy flowing from the cosmos down to the crown chakra, down the back channels into the base chakra, up the front channels and releasing out of the top of your head like a fountain.

You may imagine the flow of your energy as the flow of blood along the pathways of your blood-vessels of your body. Blood nourishes your body and provides it with the nutrients that are essential to its survival. If this flow stopped, even for a short period of time – your body would quickly become malnourished of oxygen and it would stop functioning. In the same way, without your earth and cosmic energy flows, your chakras would not be able to exchange information between one another and you would start to feel ‘out of touch’ with yourself.

In its most healthiest and most optimal state, energy is flowing freely and neutrally without any obstructions. In an unhealthy state your energy would be stuck or blocked. If it got stuck, then there is a picture or an energy that has come up and is blocking your flow. That may be your own picture that became lit up around a certain person or event or it may belong to someone else. In either case, you would want to find the picture and clear it if you want to experience wellness again.

Some of the signs of blocked energy are feelings of lethargy, depression, heaviness, procrastination, resistance and actual physical pain in the area of your body where the flow has stopped.

When you regularly practice all the tools taught at the ‘Meditation 1’ program, by default you start to become more and more aware of energy that belongs to you and energy that does not. Your own energy feels like ‘you’, it feels familiar and comfortable. While a surefire sign that someone else’s energy got into your space is when “you don’t quite feel like yourself”.

Consider running your energy as ‘pulling yourself together’. In that act of running your energy, you are bringing yourself and all of your information into present time and clearing out of your space any energy that is not yours.

There is a new 6-week program beginning on March 23 and classes running usual time at 4 PM GMT. Sign up through this link and pay for your spot here to begin to grow your psychic superpower!

Intuitive tools 101: neutrality

Neutrality is another energywork tool that runs through all the meditations in the meditation program as well as the intuitive training program.

Neutrality is an intuitive tool since it is an energy that you can say hello to to help you access more of your intuition. It can be hard to trust your intuition if you are in judgement about what you are seeing, feeling or otherwise experiencing. Your body is your first accurate psychic tool and if you invalidate it by distrusting its truthful wisdom, then you are also invalidating valuable psychic guidance that it may be picking up for you.

You step into neutrality when you centre yourself, come back into present time and bring your awareness to the centre of your head, aka the seat of clairvoyance. The more you meditate with your awareness resting in the centre of your head, the more you cultivate neutrality. It is a muscle that grows with practice.

It can be easy to initially go into judgement when we see something different, unusual or new that our senses might not be quite used to just yet. However, intuitively speaking, how neutral you are to what you are looking at is equivalent to how clearly you can see. That is, the more neutral you are towards what you are looking at and experiencing, the more you can own the centre of your head.

The less judgemental you can be about what you are seeing, the more you can occupy the centre of your head and therefore the more clearly you can see.

Neutrality is basically the same as non-judgement. It is a healing balm, a blessing to those that get to experience being seen in this way.

When you are in neutrality it is also easier for you to have your space. When you lose your neutrality, you lose your space, because you are then identifying with what you are looking at and experiencing. Thank the person who lit something up in you that made you lose your space and come back to your centre using your tools.

Being able to have neutrality means being able to have your space.

Underneath neutrality is the very basic truth that truly nothing is personal. Neutrality is an ability to step back from projections and reactions from others because you see that they are simply experiencing something that has nothing to do with you. You only take something personally when something lights up in you and that is the gift – you get to explore something about yourself. The thing to do with a matching picture is to simply find that picture and destroy it.

So the actions steps to take are …

  • Centre your awareness in the middle of your head.
  • Imagine your crown chakra in gold.
  • Become neutral by getting space from what you are looking at rather than identifying with it.
  • Your ability to be neutral with others is equivalent to your ability to be neutral with yourself, so remember to apply non-judgement to yourself, too.
